The National Park Service (NPS) has started a long-range plan for the Statue of Liberty National Monument and Ellis Island, called a General Management Plan (GMP). Planners will consider how best to preserve the important features on the two islands, along with ways to make the experience more meaningful and enjoyable for visitors. The GMP provides many opportunities for the public to participate in the process. By providing background information, gathering public input, and sharing project updates, this website will enable public exchange throughout the three-year planning period. We invite you to get involved in this exciting project.
